Library Services

We are proud to offer our patrons a variety of services, including:

In addition to our public Internet computers, we offer stand-alone systems with Microsoft Office 2003, a children’s educational software computer, and a microfilm reader/printer with e-mail and printing capability.

Interlibrary Loan
We participate in the Interlibrary Loan along with other libraries nationwide to offer access to materials we do not have in our collection.

Free Wi-Fi
Bring your own laptop or 802.11 a/b/g device and use our free Wireless Internet within the library.

Online Databases
Access to dozens of online database/research sites through TexShare.  Access to Mango Languages, Salem Reference Databases, LearningExpress, and  OneClickDigital available from anywhere.

Circulation Services
Materials can be borrowed for off-site use by cardholders in good standing.  All materials may be used within the library by any patron.

Our Library’s Collection
Containing over 65,000 items including books, audiobooks, DVD/video, genealogy materials, and periodicals.

Downloadable Audiobooks
Thousands of additional audio titles available to download at home that you can transfer to your portable media player.

Children/Youth/Teen Programs
Weekly Story time for children 18 months to preschool, Summer Reading Program for children ages 18 months – 5th grade, teens and adults and a weekly Teen Time and book review program for our older readers.

Computer Skills Center
Our Computer Skills Center maintains an exhaustive list of free, online computer and software training courses that includes the Basics of Windows, File Management, Internet, E-mail, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and Social Media.  We also have training CD-ROMs/DVD-ROMs that can be checked out for self-guided training at home, and offer face-to-face training classes as funds permit.
